A Celebration of Composting: Selby's First Tumbler Arrives!

We're excited to announce a milestone in our community composting project! Our first compost tumbler has arrived and is now happily residing at the St James' Community Garden. This fantastic collaboration with Compost-IT, a Leeds-based CIC, brings us a step closer to creating a robust composting network throughout Selby.

This innovative two-chambered tumbler is rodent-proof, allows for continuous composting and easy emptying. No more back-breaking shoveling – finished compost conveniently tumbles straight into your wheelbarrow!

Our vision is to expand this project with more tumblers and eventually offer a collection service for residents. We're also seeking partnerships with commercial growers and garden centres – if you know someone who might be interested, please get in touch!
